Annual Family Picnic

Every summer it is tradition for the family to get together and have a summer picnic up in the canyon somewhere.  This year, because of the large amounts of snow and the run off.. we decided to stick to the lower half of the canyon.  It was still super fun, even thought I wanted to go home when the wind storm blew in.  Daddy even got me my very own camping chair.

Here is Landon just taking it all in.

This is the life!

Uncle Erik is such a great boy scout!

There was a cave by where we were eating, so we decided to go exploring.

I'm ready Erik, are you???

Here goes nothing.  I am not scared!

We went in pretty far.

Totally cool!

What?  I want to do it again Dad!

Nothing like a s'more to refuel you after cave exploration.

Can't wait until next Year!

How Does Your Garden Grow???

These pictures are really for Papa C.  We wanted to show him our green thumbs.

Pumpkin, Acorn Squash, & Strawberries, YUMMM

Herbs

Lettuce, Onions, Carrots, Watermelon and Cantaloupe

Did you know that broccoli, when it starts to bloom is a beautiful yellow flower.
Oops, better luck next year with that! Hopefully the Cauliflower will do better.

Here are our pepper plants. Zucchini and Yellow Squash as well.

Here is one almost ready to pick!

Tomatoes, My favorite thing to do is pick the ripe grape tomatoes off and eat them right away.  Nothing beats a fresh tomato!

Did someone say Yukon Gold?  Yep, these are our potato plants.

Soybeans anyone?

Beets.

Our bountiful harvest!

Just waiting...

The other day I was patiently waiting for Mommy to finish getting my lunch ready... She asked me if I was OK and I told her straight up...

"Yeah, I am just waiting!"

Solid Food Baby...

Dr. Bentley gave Mommy and Daddy the green light to start solid foods.  Here is how it went...
You can judge for yourself, Rice cereal... GROSS

Ughhhh, I think that I am going to be sick...

The  spoon tastes good though... to bad I can't just suck on this all day!

What are you people doing to me?

A valiant effort was made by all involved, but I think that I will pass on this cereal stuff for now.  Seriously, it really isn't fair that I have to eat this pasty stuff and Ashton gets to eat Lucky Charms... come on where is the brotherly equality that everyone keeps talking about?

6 Months Old

I have made it half a year!  Holy Cow, can you believe it?  I can't, here are some of the things that I have been up to this last month...

My stats:
Height 28" 93%
Weight 20lbs 88%

I am totally clobbering Ashton in the above measurements... watch out big brother, you aren't going to be the "big" one for much longer!

I can crawl, I especially love to push up onto my toes and then launch myself forward.  Good Times!

I can sit all by myself and can push myself into a seated position from crawling.... I LOVE THIS!!! I have never been so happy to achieve something in my life. Ok, I know I have only been here for 6 months, but life is so much better when you are sitting instead of lying down all of the time!

Today I started saying DaDa DaDa

I ate an avocado and loved it.  Daddy is pretty excited about this one.

Here I am patiently waiting for the picture taking to begin.

How do you like my kung fu karate chop action.  Pretty fancy!

What, are you talking to me??

The jury is still out, but it looks like I might pull off Blue eyes!

Oh yeah, I am a cutie!

Watch out here I come.

Are we done yet?

Crawling fool.

See ya next month!

Last weekend Mommy had Youth Conference for our Stake.  So Daddy, Landon and I thought that it would be fun to tag along.... Boy did we ever have an adventure...

The morning started off with an "easy" Hike to Ensign Peak...

Here I am at the top, I made it thanks to a lot of help from Daddy.  I love riding on his shoulders.

Mommy carried Landon all the way up too. When we got to the top there was a surprise waiting for us...

POPSICLES!

It was pretty hot so Daddy decided to share his with Landon...

What do you think, did he like it?

He was so sad when it was all gone... He really wanted another one.

We then went to Temple Square and were location captains for the Youth as they participated in an Amazing Race...

Not a bad day, sitting in the shade enjoying the view of the Temple for three hours.  So peaceful and beautiful.  We really do "Love to see the Temple."

We made so many new friends while at Youth Conference.  This is Mosiah...  He was SOOOOO MUCH fun to hang out with.  Mommy was hoping that he would be able to come over everyday and play to keep up entertained... but he has a real job.  Bummer!

They had a BBQ for dinner at the park by our house.  They let me have all of the leftover chips.  UGHHHHHH, maybe I should have stopped after one bag!

Just chilling.

It was a long day for all of us, but it was so much fun to be with Mommy and Daddy and to see all of the Youth in our Stake.  I can't wait until I am old enough to go to Youth Conference.
