Our TriathaMOM

For the last 13 weeks Mommy has been training hard for her first official Triathlon (our ward Relief society did one about a month ago, so this is technically her second).  She got up early swam a lot.  Rode her bike (falling only twice and suffering a possible broken elbow, the jury is still out on that one, but it hurt her pretty good), and learned to actually love running.  Landon and I were her coaches.  We helped with the running part, letting her push us in the stroller and get used to running with an extra 50 pound load.  Yesterday was the big race.  It was called Triathamom.  All women.  There were a little over 400 women who participated.  She did awesome.  Mom did it with her friend Julie.  Mommy swam and biked for the team and Julie ran for the team. They finished officially in 1 hour and 37 mins and 33 second.  Mommy wanted to do the whole thing so she ran too... her finial time was 1 hour and 40 mins and some change.

Here are some pictures and video of her big race.

Here are Mommy and Julie before the race.  It was soooo cold.

This is mommy swimming, you can't see her very well, but they started at the top of the screen, and snaked their way to the bottom of the pool.  If you watch closely, you can see her collide with another swimmer.  Luckily they were not hurt.

Here she is coming out of the pool area

Here she is running to the transition area to get ready to ride her bike.

Here she is getting ready to go out on her 11 mile bike ride.

She's back... the first 4 miles was a gradual up hill and then one steep climb...  the climb got her and she had to get off her bike and walk to the top, but then she got back on the bike and made it back to the transition area... the 5k is all that is left

Here she comes...  Go Mommy!!!

Here are mom and Julie after crossing the finish line.  Coach Ashton was there to see them to the end.

Here is Mommy with Landon... They had a huge carnival for the families... bounce houses, games, face painting, a place to make signs to encourage our mom's, and lots and lots of free food!  It was a blast.

Mom you did so great.

She is already planning for next year.

Look Mom No Cavities

I went to the Dentist this week for my very first check up and I did AWESOME!!!  I didn't cry, I let Dr. Taylor look and clean all of my teeth and I even helped out a bit.  The best part was that I don't have any cavities.  Mommy and Daddy were a little worried because I don't love brushing my teeth.  I do however love to suck the toothpaste off my brush.  It must have been doing some good cause I got an A+ check up.

Here are some videos of my experience at the dentist...

8 Months Old

WOW... it is hard to believe that it has been 8 Months old.

Here are some of the things that I can do...
I can stand up for a few seconds without holding onto something.
I even pulled myself into a standing position not holding onto anything.
I have my two front teeth.
I love to play all by myself for hours.
and I can't wait till I can walk...

Oh yeah and I weight 23 pounds.  7 more and I will weight as much as Ashton.

Always so mellow.

Here's a little grin.

If you look really close you can see my two front teeth.

This isn't how you get into the chair?

Peek a boo

I see you!

Mommy tried so hard to get some nice pictures of me, but I just wouldn't cooperate.  I just wanted to play and crawl towards the camera.  Here is the best she could get with what she was working with.

Still pretty stinkin' cute!

First Day of Preschool

I started preschool this year.

Here I am having my breakfast... The most important meal of the day!!!

I am all ready to go... My bag is packed.  Come on Mom!

Here I go...

Learning all about the Letter A

Random Fun....

I love to eat, but sometimes I get so messy that I have to take a bath right in the sink!

Seriously the coolest thing to be driving a car together.  So guy actually stopped Mommy and asked her if we were twins.  So funny!

Ashton loves to help me eat.

And he is the only one who can truly make me laugh!

Love the bath and water.

Seven Months Old

So This is really late, but here are my Seven Months Old pics.... I can pull myself to a standing position by this point.  It is so much fun to do... I just love it.  Crawling is a breeze.  I even go up the stairs all by myself.

I'm not going to smile...

Nope I'm not going to do it... no matter what...

OK, I give you a little grin

Just Happy to be me!!!

I can't wait until I am old enough to tackle you Ashton!

Returned with Honor!

So we have been a little slow in posting thing this summer... We have just been too busy to sit in front of the computer.  But we decided that we would work really hard today to get it all down for posterity sake...

On August 2, 2011  we boarded a jet plane headed for Indiana.  Uncle Caleb was going to be coming home the next day from his Mission in Brazil.  Here are some of the fun things we did while were were there.

Here we are waiting for Uncle Caleb to arrive.  Grandma bought us some popcorn so we wouldn't get hungry while we waited...

Is he here yet?

Here is Aunt Amy and Aunt Erynn.  Baby Olivia and Baby Greta can't wait till he gets here....

The suspense is killing me....

Hi Olivia!

So cute, still waiting...

Thank goodness we had popcorn to get us through

American Airlines Flight 3517, On Time... shouldn't be here by now?

Greta fell asleep waiting...

Amelia found a comfortable spot to wait on Uncle Chris' head...

Daddy and Landy are all ready.

I made him a sign... Only the people behind me can read it.

Grandma and Papa couldn't wait for him either...

Wait for it... Wait for it...

Is that him?  YESSSS!!!  Here come the Hugs.  The cool thing was that he had NO idea that we were all going to be there waiting for him.  He just thought that Grandma and Papa would be there.
We tricked him good!!!

Yes, that is a tear you see.  He was just so overcome with emotion and the joy to be home and that we were all there.

Come on Uncle Caleb, lets get your bags.  I know exactly where to find them.

Daddy just wanted to give him a big ol' kiss.

So glad that Caleb is home.  I just love him!

Greta sleeping. Shhhhhh

While we were in Indiana we went to a Dairy farm and learned all about how cows make milk.
  It was so much fun!

They even let us ride one... OK it wasn't real, but it was still fun to pretend.

Water???  I thought that this was a Dairy Farm, should milk be coming from this fountain?

There was so much to do and play with.  I got to ride this train all by myself.

Landon's new trick...

We had so much fun on the trip that the only time we wanted to sleep was in the car.  I stayed up till midnight almost every night!

Mommy tried to take a picture of this cool car as we were driving by it.  She only got the front half, but Aunt Erynn managed to only get the back half.  We need to get that from her and photo shop the two together to make a full car!

The best place to nap!

Uncle Seth let me drive the lawn mower.  SOOOOO FUN!!!

Man your finger tastes good!

Papa took me fishing while we were there.  He made me this awesome fishing hat.  I just love it!!!

 Landon and Uncle Caleb

Here I am holding the pole all by myself.

I got one!!!

Now what do I do?  Papa you take care of it... this granola bar tastes better than the fish!

Love Grandma C.!!

So Greta and I were the only two who would sit long enough to get a group shot.  Yep, so sad that we were able to get anyone else in the picture.  Oh well! Maybe next time.

Don't worry Greta I will protect your eyes from the flash!

I don't understand why you guys think that this phone is difficult to use.  You just go like this...

Flying home...

We were so slap happy from our trip this is what happened....
