My Frist Christmas

My First Christmas was wonderful. Santa came early this year and brought us a new T.V. Thanks to a very special Christmas Elf. Even though Daddy won't allow me to watch T.V. until after I am two years old. I have sneaked a few peaks and it is really cool. Christmas Eve, Mommy and I took a nap which was really fun. We then went to Grandma and Grandpa P. house and had lots of goodies.

I am so excited for Santa to come to my house. Christmas Day we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house again to open presents. I loved all of the new outfits that I got and I can't wait to be able to read the book and play with the toys. Mom got a book to learn sign language. She is going to teach me easy signs so that I can talk with them. I can't wait to learn.

This is me and my Great Grandma on Christmas Day. She gave me my very first dollar. I am going to put it into my piggy bank and save if for when I am older. We went to her house to visit and have Chili. Mom and Dad said that it was really tasty. Thanks Aunt Penny for making the chili.

I have started smiling a lot as well as talking, O.K. all I really say is ah goo and occasionally I will make what mommy and daddy think are giggles, but I smile back at them now and they love it. I have to say that you would smile at them too if you saw what silly faces they make at me.

I spent some time taking a "long winters nap" on Christmas Day. This is a picture of me in "My First Christmas" onesie. Pretty cute huh.

Dad was making another silly face at me and I started to smile.

So, I had a bit too much egg nog after dinner and this is what happened. O.K. I really didn't have egg nog, but this is want I look like after I have eaten too much and too fast. Dad says that he looks the same way after he has eaten too much and too fast. I take after him in so many ways!!

1 Month Old

I turned one month old today. Here are a few pictures of how much I have grown in one month. My Daddy says that my belly is almost as big as his... and YES My Dad is cooler than your Dad. My acid reflux is still giving me some difficulty, Dr. Bentley increased the medication which helped a bit. I am still not sleeping much and my belly makes lots of noises. All in all my first month on earth has been pretty great. I am a happy little guy when my stomach isn't giving me fits. I can grab my daddy's finger when he is holding me and mommy and I have been reading all of the great books everyone has given me. I can also hold my head up pretty well on my own when I am on my belly and being held up.

I am so cute!!!! And my belly does look as big as my dads. I think that it is just the way that I was sitting. Ok it is big because I love to eat all day and night. What can I say I take after my dad in so many ways.

Three week mark

Today I turned three weeks old. At my two week doctors appointment I weighed 8 lbs 8 oz, one pound heavier and I am now 22 and 1/4 inches long. Dad is really excited about my chances for the NBA. Three days after my appointment I was back to see Dr. Bentley, because I was throwing up a lot, even out my nose and the night before I only slept two or three hours. I have developed Infant scid reflux, aka GERD... Not so much fun. Dr. Bentley put me on Prevacid and that seems to help make me a happier little guy, but I am still not sleeping very regularly. Mom and Dad are trying different things to help make me feel better. Mom has even given up her favorite foods to help.

My Blessing Day

This is me on my Big Day... My Daddy was able to give me a name and a blessing today. It was so wonderful... I have to say that I think I look pretty handsome in my new outfit... What do you think of the Nike socks?

My Family.
I just love to sleep in my daddy's arms. He is very comfortable. Mom says that she likes to snuggle with dad too.





There was a picture of me with my Dad and my grandpas but I don't think mom and dad got a copy yet...

So many of our family and friends were able to come to my blessing. We feel very blessed to have had the chance to share this special occasion with so many people who have played such an important part in our lives. We want to tell you all that we love you very much and cherish the friendships and relationships we have made over the years with you. Ashton is very blessed to have each one of you in his life. Thank you for the examples you all are to him of how people should be. Our family will be forever blessed to call you all friends.

Thanksgiving

All of my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandmas and Grandpas were able to come to my house for Thanksgiving... It was so great to have them all there. I did not taste the Turkey, but it smelled delicious.

My First Week

My First Day

This is me and Dr. Terry. He was the oncall Doctor that took care of my mom all day and helped deliver me... Dr. Froerer was there too for the big finale, but I haven't gotten a picture with him just yet. Dr. Terry was so great, he made my Dad feel really at ease. They joked about football and watched Saturday Night Live while my mom was pushing. Even mom got into it between pushes... She was keeping track of the BYU score... we were all hoping that they would lose, not that day, but the following week.... GO UTES!!! Thank you Dr. Terry for all of your hard work!!!!

Our Miracle!

After 17+ hours of Labor our little one arrived. 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long. He got here at 10:03pm. He has his daddy's ears, eyes, nose and feet. His feet are so big and his toes are extremely long. Dad is happy about his prospects as a future NBA Hall of Famer. He has been such a joy and wonder. It is amazing to think that he is a little over 2 weeks old already. He has been changing everyday. We are so happy to have him in our family. He has gained a whole pound since his first doctors appointment and he has also grown 1 1/4 inches since he was born. Attached are some pictures from his short life so far.
