Pine wood Derby

So our ward decided to have a pine wood derby race for all of the men.  Daddy decided that it would be fun for he and Ashton to make a car to race.  Unfortunately for me I am still too young so I just had to sit back and observe the fun and excitement.

Safety first.  Ashton made sure that he put on his glasses before they started cutting and sanding.

Here they are cutting the piece of wood to the exact shape they wanted.

They then got to paint the car.

Still sitting and watching

Ashton decided that it needed to have all of the colors that they had bought on it. I tried to tell him that I didn't think that that was a good idea, but they didn't listen to me.  Still to young to know what I am talking about.

So I just sat back and kept my mouth shut.

Here is the final paint job.  Ashton was right... I think that it looks AWESOME.  Good job Boys!

I was so bored and bummed that I was too young to help out that I just rolled over onto my side and lost interest.

Here is Ashton at the big race.  He is wearing his jammies cause the race actually started after his bedtime.

On your mark, get set, goooooo

So their car came in dead last all four heats, but Ashton didn't care.  He thought that it was one of the coolest things that he has gotten to do!

Mommy was trying to take pictures while she was holding me.  Didn't work out so well for her.
Good for me though!

Ashton couldn't believe how much fun it was to make a pine wood car and race it.  I can't wait till next year when I am older and can help Daddy and Ashton build one.

4 Months Old

My family has been calling me Peanut since I was born, but maybe they should start calling me Chunky Monkey cause after my 4 month stats came back, I am anything but a "peanut"!

Here are my stats:

Weight:  16 pounds 12 oz.  84%
Height:  26.5 inches 94%

I have been growing so fast.  Ironically, I am the same height and just 6 ounces heavier than Ashton was at this time.  We are right on track, but I am still just a little bigger than he was.

Some of the skills that I have been perfecting this month are rolling over.  I officially roll from my tummy to my back and from my back to my tummy.  I haven't started log rolling, but I am sure that that isn't too far off.  I love to give everyone I meet big smiles.  I found my voice and will squeal and squawk all day long.  My acid reflux seems to be doing OK.  I still have to take the medicine twice a day.  Mommy thinks that I am cutting teeth because I am a drooling fool.  I love to blow bubbles and raspberries.  I have found that I have feet and love to look at them.  I am still not sleeping though the night and since my shots I have decided that sleep isn't all that necessary.  Sorry Mom an Dad!  I can reach and grab for things that are put in front of me.  I love love love to put anything and everything into my mouth.  I absolutely adore my big brother.  I love to follow him around as he is playing a goofing off with my eyes.  He is so much fun.  I can't wait until we can really play together.  I prefer sitting to lying any day, but I just can't do it without assistance.  I am really going to work on that one this month.  Just you wait and see.  Well here are some fun pictures of me at 4 months old.
  Hope you all enjoy!

 Peek a boo

I see you!

Mommy is still hopeful to get a good cute picture of the two of us.  I was cooperating in this one, but Ashton, Not so much.

Hi big brother

I have a funny story to tell you.

I love to chew on my fingers.  Sometimes I can get the whole hand in my mouth, which only leads to me choking myself and then I usually end up giving up the ghost.  I really need to stop doing that.

Mom, see it is possible for us to pose for a picture.

Just kidding.

Ashton, what do you think of my right hook?

As Ashton would say... "Cute baby"

Blahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Don't you just love the puddle of drool on the blanket.
Mom you better wash this thing before Dad see this shot!

I love to Jump!

I just love to bounce and jump in the jumper Ashton used to play with.
I am so lucky that he had such cool toys!

Ashton is always so nice to share his old toys with me!

It is just a flesh wound!

A few weeks ago, Mommy had finished working out and noticed drops of blood all over the kitchen floor.  Not knowing where it was coming from she checked herself out and then started checking me.  There was blood all over my shirt but she still couldn't see where it was coming from.  Finally upon closer inspection she discovered that I had cut the end of my finger.  With what you might ask?  GOOD QUESTION!  To this day we still have no idea what I sliced my finger on.  But I was so brave!  No crying, no screaming, and no passing out!  Mommy was able to get the bleeding stopped and made me a special bandage that did the trick and my finger is all better.  Here is what I looked like afterwards.

OK, maybe it hurts just a little.

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny brought me this awesome shovel, rack, hoe and sand pail for Easter.  I couldn't wait to try them out at the park so I started digging in the backyard.  Here are some of the pictures from my fun!
