Weeks of Firsts

I have been really busy over the last few weeks with some BIG Firsts for me...

On Father's Day I finally figured out how to get into a sitting position from my belly...

Watch, I can even pull myself up into a standing position...

I can sip water through a straw...

Who knew that Broccoli was so tasty?

I had my first 4th of July, but I was so tired I only made it to 6:30pm. Daddy says that we can watch fireworks on the 24th instead, I just have to take ALL of my naps first.

My First Owie

This morning as Mom and Dad were getting ready for the day, I was crawling, well actually lauching myself across the bathroom floor, when I completely face planted into the floor. Of course I started to cry and when mommy picked me up, my mouth was bleeding. My two little teeth must of cut my lip or gums. I wouldn't let them see where the blood was coming from, but I was a champ and recovered quickly with no ill effects. Mom and Dad were pretty concerned, but they just have to be prepared that bumps and bruises are the way of a little boy.

7 Months Old

Here I am in my Big Boy Chair at 7 months old.

Here are some of the things I have learned this month...

* I can launch myself forward in a pseudo crawl. I still haven't figured out the arm and leg movement, but my method seems to be working well.
* I can wave Hi to people when they wave back to me.
* I have learned that things that little boys shouldn't get into are way
more entertaining than my baby toys.
* I have learned that the taste of rice cereal and oatmeal are not that bad.
* The words Puce, blubber, macadamia, muckluck, and bulbus bufont are hilarious
* I can sit all by myself.
* I have two little teeth, which are very sharp.

I crack me up...

My teeth, Mommy finally won the picture battle.

Squeaky clean

Are you looking for me?

Get me outta here!
I think that it might be time to lower my mattress.

If I get any taller, I won't fit this way anymore.

6 Month Adventures

Do you think that I can get the Ladies with this look?

I went to see Dr. Bentley today for my 6 month check up... Here are my stats

Height: 28 1/4 inches (89%)
Weight: 18.3 pounds (48%)

I was so brave for my last set of immunizations, until I am 1 year old, today. I only cried for a minute. Dr. Bentley said that I could start eating solid foods, so Momma is really excited to start making my food and letting me try new tastes! I tried rice cereal again today, twice, and I think that I might actually like it. I will let you know. Dr. Bentley also said that I should be able to sleep through the night without getting up to eat. I am not so sure about that!

I have two teeth now. There are still no pictures, because I won't keep my tongue out of the way long enough for Mommy to take a picture. She has been making a very valiant effort. Someday I will let you all see what they look like, but watch out I BITE.

Can you grab your big toe with one hand, ring your teething ring with the other leg, while chewing on your toy connectors all at the same time... I didn't think so.

I have almost figured out how to crawl. Well, I actually just launch myself forward with my legs, but it seems to be very effective. I can get to where I want to go without Mommy and Daddy's help. I just don't know how to make my arms work with my legs.

I discovered that I have a Shadow this week. He goes every where I go.

If you look closely, I am making a funny face at my Shadow, but he doesn't seem to be making one back at me.

Mommy and Daddy got a pass for the year to the Utah Hoggle Zoo. Mommy and I went the other day with our friends. We had so much fun seeing all of the cool animals. I can't wait to go back again and again!

Daddy calls me a Monkey all of the time.
Someday I am going to climb and swing just like the Monkeys

These are my friends... Weston, Tanner, Katherine, and Rylee. Katherine and I have his and her Jeep Strollers. I think that Rylee and Katherine are pretty cute. Hummm.... older or younger ladies, I can't decide.
