Tree Trimming, Snow Day, ER visit, and more...

OK, this is going to be a long post because a lot of things have been happening in my young life...

Here I am working on my blog... not a bad set up!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to our friends and neighbors, Ross, Justin and Ashley's house to make Christmas ornaments.  Ross, invited all of the neighborhood kids over to make their very own and we got to take them home.  Mommy helped me, OK, she did all of the work, but it was fun.

Here is one of the ornaments that we made.

Here is a picture of Me and Daddy hanging my 2nd Christmas ornament up on the tree.

Here is what it looks like up close.  Had to go with the Basketball playing polar bears this year.

Here is our tree all lit up.  "Ooooh Pretty".
Daddy has been teaching me to say that when I see the lights. It is so fun to say!

What?  Are you talking to me?

I have decided that talking on the phone is way to fun.
If mom and dad can do it, SO CAN I!!!

We had a big snow fall and Daddy worked from home, he let me sit on his lap and see what he was doing.  I had so much fun learning all about codes and other computer stuff...

In my stay puff marshmallow winter coat and mittens, I don't get around very well.  But here are some shots of me playing in my first snow fall.  It was Burrrr Cold!

Tasty!

So Fun.  Now lets go inside and get warm.

This one is for Aunt Erynn and Uncle Doug.  For my birthday they got me this Awesome motorized tractor.  It has lights and a horn that beeps.  The front loader tips so you can scoop and dump things out of it.  It is so much fun.  I love the hazard lights that tick/tock  back and forth.

I am also wearing the CWRU t-shirt they got me from Cleveland.  I will wear it with pride.

It has been a while since I have blogged.  I have been sick.  Last week I developed a cold, which then on Thursday turned into a cough, which worsened on Friday to full blown croup, which landed me in the ER Saturday morning at midnight.  The Drs and Nurses were so nice at the ER.  They took my temperature which was 102.6 and my heart rate was over 200 beats per minute, I guess that it should be somewhere between 90-120.  They then got me right back and started me on a cool mist inhaler.  That didn't seem to be working so well so they spiked it with a steroid, they then gave me an oral steroid and another inhaled steroid treatment.  That did the trick.  I was still coughing, but at least I could breath easier.  We left the ER at 4:30am and I got to snuggle in bed with mom and dad the rest of the day.  Sunday, I started to get worse again, so Monday I went to see Dr. Bentley.  He put me on an oral steroid twice a day and I am SOOOOO much better now.   Daddy says that I should start pumping some iron to take full advantage of my steroid treatments. He is so funny.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!!

Talk to you all next year.

Love, Ashton

Slick Rock, Delicate Arches and They said "I DO"

This weekend we went on a mini Family Vacation to Moab and to see Mommies best good friend Brittney get married in Durango Colorado. We left Friday and drove to Moab

Here I am at the wheel. Daddy had to work the foot pedals because my legs wouldn't reach.

I got my own bed in the hotel... Ok, there was a crib, but I wasn't interested so Mommy sacrificed and snuggled with me all night long. So fun.

We went to Arches National Park on Saturday morning before driving to the Wedding in Durango. Here are some of the things we saw.

Dr. Bentley said that I could ride forward now in the car, but Mommy and Daddy are going to wait a while before they actually switch me forward, but they made a special exception for this trip. It was so fun!!!

We hiked to an overlook to see Delicate Arch... I did a pretty good job walking part of the way, but I had to take a seat and rest.

Delicate Arch

Here we are for a Family photo, you can see the Arch in the background

After Arches we went and got ready to drive to the Wedding.
Are you sure these aren't my shoes?

Here comes the Bride. Doesn't she look pretty.

Me, Mommy and Brittney.

We had such a fun trip together as a family. I can't wait until we can go again!

1 Year Check -Up

I went for my one year check up with Dr. Bentley yesterday.  Here are my stats:

In one year I have grown to 30.5 inches / 74%
I have gained 20.94 pounds / 22%

I walk all over the place now.  I look like a drunken sailor, but it sure is fun.
I am very sensitive when it comes to not getting what I want, my lower lip gets bigger and bigger everyday.
I say "I do it" and "What is it" or something very close to those two phrases.
I love to say "Hi Daddy"
I have learned how to go down backwards from the couch and stairs.
I can go get a book when Mommy asks me too.

I can make a funny kissy/fish face...
Want to see...

I love Bananas, Cheerios, Danimals Yogurt, Yakisoba, and anything that contains a carbohydrate.  Yum!

Well that is about it. I am sure there is more to report, I just can't think of it right now.

I'm ONE!!!

Yesterday was My Birthday!!!

I made it, I am 1 year old.

My day started out great... Mommy and Daddy got me up and we all snuggled in bed.  Then I got to eat my favorite breakfast... CHERRIOS and Fruit.  Yummy.  I took a good almost 3 hour nap and then Mommy took my picture in my chair.  I have picture from the last 12 months in my chair. Here is how I looked.

Pretty cute

Today is also Grandma P. Birthday, so everyone came over to my house for dinner and cake.  But before they did, I got to open one present from Team Moore (Aunt Amy, Uncle Chris and Cousin Amelia).

What the box isn't the present... ARE YOU SURE... It looks pretty fun to me...

Ohhhhh, THANK YOU!!!! (You were right, this is way cooler than the box)

After dinner I got to open my presents... I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing...

So Daddy helped me.

Daddy thought that he could fit into my new Jammies... Silly Daddy.  Thanks Aunt Coey!

This will be as close as I will ever get to having a real puppy.  I better give it all the loves I can.

Mommy and Daddy got me this cool Barn.  I just love to play with all the features.

Mommy made me my very own "SMASH CAKE"  It was banana cake with cream cheese frosting...

Everyone sang Happy Birthday to ME!!

Now let the FUN Begin...

The BEST DAY YET!!!

Thank you to all of my wonderful Family and Friends for the great day and an awesome year!

I LOVE YOU ALL!
